Booking Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions form part of the contract between the lead guest and Stacey’s Homely Haven.

It is important that you read them carefully. By booking and paying a deposit or by claiming any prize or by entering any competition you agree to these terms and conditions.

Arrivals process

​

Someone will meet you at the caravan and give you a quick tour and answer any questions you may have. We will aim to call you 2-3 days before your arrival to check and finalise details of your stay and arrange key collection.

Dates of hire

The dates of hire agreed between the lead guest and the owner are from the pre-arranged and agreed check in time on your check in date and 11:00am on your check out date any unauthorised use of the holiday accommodation by the hirer outside of these dates and times is chargeable as an extra cost to the hirer.

 

Deposit

 

In order to secure your holiday, we ask all guests to provide a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 which is deducted from the remaining cost of the stay. Full payment must be received 21 days before your booked check in date.

Changing dates may be subject to additional charges / cost according to your selected dates and availability. We retain the right to refuse any change of date but we will accommodate where it is deemed necessary and reasonable. Please contact us to discuss this.  

 

Security Bond

 

We ask for a £100 security bond for all bookings which is payable before arrival. You agree that Stacey’s Homely Haven may retain the security deposit, or part thereof, following an unsatisfactory check of the caravan and its contents. If Stacey’s Homely Haven need to retain any part of the security bond you will be advised by email and provided with an invoice to show the amount that has been retained to cover the cost of replacing damaged property or any missing items from the inventory of the caravan. We will retain all, or part, of the security deposit to cover the cost of:

 

Any breakages or damages to our property or its contents (including, but not limited to, furniture, sensory equipment or fixings) If the cost of any damage is more than £100 you will be billed for the additional cost.

 

We will always aim to get this issued within 7 days of your departure date.

         

 

 

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

We understand that accidents happen from time to time, if something gets broken or damaged during your stay, we ask that you advise us immediately so that we can arrange repairs or replacements in time for our next guests.

 

It is the responsibility of the guests to report any damage to the property or its contents. Failure to do so could result in the security bond being retained by Stacey’s Homely Haven.

 

We expect our guests to leave the caravan as it they found it. If a representative of Stacey’s Homely Haven arrives to check the caravan and find that it has not been left in a clean and tidy manner this will result in your security bond being retained by Stacey’s Homely Haven.

 

During checking the caravan if any of the contents are found to be damaged or missing this will result in your security bond being retained by Stacey’s Homely Haven.

 

You are responsible for the behaviour and safety of yourself and the members of your party.

Children should be supervised at all times.

 

Sensory equipment

 

All equipment supplied by Stacey’s Homely Haven is for use under adult supervision, you are responsible for the safety of your party at all times. Stacey’s Homely Haven cannot be held responsible the safety of you, or any members of your party. Stacey’s Homely Haven hold a full list of equipment that can be found inside the caravan and a full inventory will be taken before your arrival and after your departure.

 

The caravan has toys and equipment for our families to use and enjoy. While we understand that accidents happen, we ask that you inform us straight away if anything gets broken so we can organise a replacement in time for the next guests checking in. If any of the equipment is found to be maliciously damaged or is missing, we may charge you for the cost of any replacements. The charge for replacement items will be taken from the security bond and an invoice will be issued detailing the amount that has been retained to cover the cost of the replacements.

 

Warning: Some of the sensory equipment in the caravan produces bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort and/or seizures for those with photosensitive epilepsy, Parental supervision is essential.

 

 

 

Accident reporting

 

In the event of any accident that occurs in the property and that results in injury to any guest you must contact Stacey’s Homely Haven immediately and we will complete an accident report form.

 

Payment responsibility

 

The TOTAL amount payable for the period of hire is 21 days before check in. The total balance MUST be received by date specified; non-payment will result in the cancellation of the holiday. If full payment is not received by the specified date and you have not contacted us, we will attempt to contact you once to arrange payment, if no contact can be made within 24 hours we will treat your booking as cancelled and all money paid to date will be retained by Stacey’s Homely Haven.

 

 

Payments

 

Payments can be made by BACS transfer to the account provided when booking after checking availability OR via wix payments - a link will be sent to you upon request.

we do not see any card details and all payments and details  are handled by Wix payments. Pease check their terms and conditions if you have any concerns.

 

 

 

Keys and access

 

Guests will be advised of how to gain access to the holiday home upon confirmation of their holiday. This information will be sent to you the week leading up to your holiday and after final payment has been received.

 

Lost keys will be charged for at £10 per set.

 

Occupancy

 

The holiday property is for the sole use of the persons listed on the booking form. The Hirer will be responsible for the entire party. Anyone reported to over occupy the property will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

 

As our caravans are all sited on family parks, we only accept bookings from family groups. We cannot accept bookings from young singles or groups of all male/female parties.

 

 

 

No Smoking Policy

 

Stacey’s Homely Haven operate a strict no smoking policy. This includes the decking area.

 

For reasons of hygiene and the comfort of other guests there is NO SMOKING or vaping is allowed anywhere in the caravan or decking area. If anyone is reported to be smoking or vaping during your stay you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Any evidence of smoking that is found by our representative while checking the caravan after departure will result in Stacey’s Homely Haven retaining your security bond.

 

If you choose to smoke, please do so as far away from the caravan as possible. Please make sure that all cigarettes are extinguished and disposed of appropriately and not put in any of the bins inside the caravan.

 

Pets

 

Pets are not accepted in our caravan. If you are found to have a pet in the caravan you will be asked to vacate the premises without refund and will result in Stacey’s Homely Haven retaining your security bond.

 

Cleanliness

 

We pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness that we maintain in our caravan and request that guests leave the caravan clean and tidy. We ask that any cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils that are used are cleaned and returned to where they are kept. Any blatant damage will result in Stacey’s Homely Haven retaining your security bond.

 

 

Chip pans and fryers

 

The use of chip pans or deep fryers of any kind is strictly prohibited. We provide a microwave and air fryer as well as the standard oven.

 

Behaviour

 

If, in the opinion in of The Owner, our representative or the Park manager any member of the party is guilty of conduct which is deemed to be anti-social or a risk to the health and safety of themselves or members of the public, The Owner or the park manager may re-take possession of the accommodation immediately without compensation to The Hirer. Your name and contact details may also be passed on to the police or any other relevant authorities as deemed necessary.

 

Electric Car Charging

 

You are not permitted to use the caravan mains to charge your electric vehicle. If you are found to have charged a vehicle, we will retain the cost of this from your bond.

 

Bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters.

No bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, or other forms of transportation are allowed inside the caravan. Furthermore, charging of e-bikes or e-scooters in or around the caravan is strictly prohibited due to fire and safety concerns.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

 

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, please contact us straight away by email. Any cancellations made up to 6 weeks before your arrival date will incur a charge equal to the deposit paid. Any cancellations made within 6 weeks of arrival will not be refunded.

 

If we change or cancel your booking

 

Should it be necessary for us to make any major changes to your booking, or in exceptional circumstances cancel your booking, we will endeavour to advise you, and provide the following options:

 

a) A replacement holiday comparable or superior to the one booked or

b) A replacement holiday together with the difference in price between the replacement holiday and the holiday booked or

c) A full refund.

 

Liability

We DO NOT accept liability for injury, loss or damage suffered by any member of the party.

 

WIFI

Wifi – This is provided by the park and we accept no responsibility or liability for this.

 

Streaming services

 

Honesty Policy for TV and Streaming Services Usage

At Stacey’s Homely Haven, we believe in an environment of trust and respect. To ensure everyone's enjoyment and maintain the integrity of our shared resources, we kindly ask all guests to adhere to the following honesty policy when using our TV and streaming services (including the use of Alexa):

Responsible Usage: Guests are encouraged to enjoy the entertainment options provided, including the smart TV in the living room and the Amazon Fire Stick in the bedroom. We trust that users will make reasonable and responsible choices in their viewing selections. Please be mindful younger audiences may access these after you.

Guest Accounts and Streaming Services: We have graciously provided guest accounts for various streaming services. Guests are welcome to use these accounts for their entertainment needs. However, if guests prefer to use their personal accounts, we ask that they log out of these accounts promptly after use to ensure privacy and security. Please inform us of this so we can reset for the next guests.

DVD Selection: A small selection of DVDs is available for guests' enjoyment. We ask that DVDs be treated with care and returned to their proper places after use.

Account Responsibility: While we provide access to streaming services, guests are responsible for the security of their own accounts and passwords. We cannot be held liable for any issues related to personal accounts.

Troubleshooting and Assistance: Should guests encounter any difficulties with the TV, streaming services, or DVDs, we are happy to provide assistance during reasonable hours. Please feel free to reach out to us for support, except during late hours.

Trusting Policy: We extend the privilege of accessing these entertainment options under a trusting policy. We hope that all guests will honour this trust by using the resources responsibly and with consideration for others.

By adhering to this honesty policy, guests contribute to maintaining a harmonious and enjoyable atmosphere for all. We appreciate your cooperation and respect.

Insurance

 

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover accidents, losses, cancellation etc. These policies are available quite cheaply from most insurance providers.

Booking through Spectrum Holidays

In addition to the above terms and conditions, if you have booked through Spectrum Holidays there may be further restrictions or terms imposed or implied. Please ensure you abide by and agree to any terms  applied by them.

Competition Rules and winners

Eligibility: a. Participants must be residents of the United Kingdom and must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. b. Employees, agents, or immediate family members of Stacey’s Homely Haven  are not eligible to participate in the competition.

 

Prize: a. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other alternative. b. The winner is responsible for any additional costs or expenses not explicitly included in the prize description.

 

Winner Selection:  The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries.

 

Claiming the Prize: a. The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of notification and must book the dates within 90 days of claiming b. Failure to claim the prize or book dates within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture, and an alternate winner may be selected.

c. after claiming the prize and selecting a date - you may cancel or amend the date once. Any further requests to amend or change dates will result in forfeiture of the prize. d. In all circumstances NO CASH ALTERNATIVE can nor will be offered. 

 

General Conditions: a. By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Staceys Homely Haven, which are final and binding. b. By entering any competition you also agree to abide by any existing booking terms as listed on our website.

 

 

Stacey’s Homely Haven reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or tampers with the entry process. . Stacey’s Homely Haven reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factors beyond its control impairs the integrity of the competition.

 

Privacy: Any personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

 

 

In addition to the above terms applying to competition winners, we reserve the right to charge for any damages despite no bond being paid. By accepting and claiming your free stay you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Dates are subject to availability and can not be altered when booked.

 

Failure to abide by terms and conditions.

If any person in your party fails to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined above, we reserve the right to refuse any future bookings from you. Your name, along with any evidence, may be reported to the provider/partner with whom you made the booking for further investigation and potential financial recovery for any losses incurred.
